Award-winning Nollywood actress Ada Okafor is making headlines as she prepares to star in her first Hollywood film โ a high-budget science fiction thriller titled “Quantum Rift.”
The film, directed by American filmmaker Jason Monroe, will feature Okafor in a leading role as a quantum physicist who discovers a rift between parallel universes while investigating a mysterious energy surge in Africa.
Speaking at a press event in Los Angeles, Monroe praised Okaforโs talent, saying, โHer screen presence is magnetic. She brings authenticity, emotion, and global appeal โ exactly what this story needs.โ
Ada, best known for her performances in โWhispers of the Forestโ and โEchoes of Lagos,โ expressed excitement about the opportunity.
โThis is more than a role โ itโs a dream. Iโm proud to represent Nollywood on a global stage,โ she said.
The film is scheduled to begin production in October, with scenes set to be shot in Cape Town, Lagos, and New York. It is expected to hit theaters worldwide in mid-2026.
